Introduction

Badacsonytomaj is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, where the volcanic basalt columns of Badacsony Hill and the panorama of the lake offer a unique experience. The town is famous for its wine culture, historical monuments, and cultural programs. Among its attractions are the Kisfaludy House, the Szegedy Róza House, the Ranolder Cross, and the basalt-built St. Imre Church. The Folly Arboretum offers nature lovers a special treat, while its popular beaches invite you to take a dip.

Location & Accessibility

It can be reached by car on Route 71, as well as through Nemesgulács and Káptalantóti. Long-distance trains stop at the railway station and at the Badacsonyörs and Badacsony stops, and bus connections are provided to the settlements in the area. During the season, the Badacsony port can also be reached by boat, primarily from Fonyód.
