Balaton Theater
Introduction
The Balaton Theater is the cultural center of Keszthely, which opened its doors in 2002 on the town's Main Square. Designed by Ybl Prize-winning architects, the building is elegant and modern, and friendly environment for theatrical experiences. The institution, operated by the Goldmark Károly Cultural Center, welcomes visitors with a variety of programs throughout the year: classical and contemporary plays, musical performances, musicals, concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, and public events are all part of the program.

The theater's multifunctional spaces provide opportunities for educational institutions to hold festive performances, city events, professional conferences, and galas. The main hall can accommodate 500 people, and there are also smaller, versatile rooms available. The Balaton Theater is popular not only with locals but also with tourists, especially during the summer season.
Location & Accessibility
The Balaton Theater is located at 3 Fő tér in Keszthely. It is located in the center of the city, so it is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, and by public transportation. For those arriving by car, paid parking is available in the surrounding streets. The area around the theater is rich in attractions: the 250-year-old high school, the Town Hall, the Church of Our Lady of Hungary, and the park of the Festetics Castle are all located nearby.
