Diás Beach
Introduction
The Diás Beach is the central beach of Gyenesdiás and one of the most active and family-friendly bathing spots on the western shore of Lake Balaton. The beach is special in that it offers experiences for all age groups: children can enjoy the playground, a natural paddling pool, a giant slide and entertainment programs, while adults can relax on the sports fields, water games and sunbathing.
The beach area features an Adventure Park with trampolines, mini golf, billiards, air hockey, and beach kayaks. The baby-mother room, beach radio, free Wi-Fi, and high-quality restaurants and cafes further enhance the feeling of comfort. The Diás Beach has won the title of "Best Beach on Lake Balaton" several times and receives the five-star Blue Flag certification every year.
Location & Accessibility
The beach is located at 3 Strand Street in Gyenesdiás. It is free of charge for those arriving by car, partially shaded parking is available directly in front of the entrance. Covered storage is provided for cyclists. The Gyenesdiás train station is only a few minutes' walk away, while the nearest bus stop is about a 15-minute walk away.
The beach is wheelchair accessible, and beach wheelchairs are available for people with limited mobility.
The ticket office is open during the high season: every day from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. , and tickets can also be purchased online. Admission is free with the Gyenesdiás Plus card.
