🌿 Dobogó Forest Nature Reserve – The realm of spring flowers
If you are looking for a truly special, nature-filled experience, visit the Dobogó Forest Nature Reserve, locatedon the border of Kőrmed-Horvátnád, in the floodplain of the Rába and Pinka rivers. This 2 km long trail leads through an enchanting gallery forest, where in spring millions of spring snowflakes (Leucojum vernum) cover the ground, forming a white carpet of flowers. The sight and smell are both an impressive experience. 1

📍 How to get there- Starting point: Kőrme, Malom Street – take the dirt road starting at the old mill.

- Parking: On Malom Street, continue on foot towards the Pinka Bridge.
- Length: approx. 2 km
- Duration: approx. 1 hour at a comfortable walking pace
- Recommended equipment: closed shoes or hiking boots
- With a stroller: not recommended due to mud

The spring snowflake is a protected, bulbous perennial plant that blooms between March and April. Although beautiful, it is strictly protected and poisonous, so we can only admire it with our eyes.
