Fonyód Sports and Event Hall

Fonyód’s new sports hall was built with a focus on modern technology and versatile functionality. Spread across three levels, it features a mobile grandstand that can accommodate nearly 1,000 spectators. The 3,720 m² facility, measuring 65×45 meters, provides an ideal training environment not only for handball players but also for bodybuilders, wrestlers, and squash enthusiasts. The motorized stands offer more space during training sessions and physical education classes, while the ground floor includes a snack bar and social areas for visitors. With its impressive appearance, the facility brings new energy to Fonyód’s sports and tourism scene.

The sports hall is easily accessible by car from Main Route 7, with bus and car parking as well as bicycle storage available on-site. It is just a 10-minute walk from the Fonyód train station, near the Fonyód Market site. The official address is 3/a Vásártér utca, Fonyód 8640, although it may not yet appear on Google Maps.
