Helikon Beach

Helikon Beach is located in the southern part of Keszthely, on the shore of Lake Balaton, and is one of the most peaceful bathing spots in the city. It once served as the private beach of the Festetics family, hence the name "Helikon." The beach is an ideal choice for those who want a quiet, nature-filled getaway. The shallow water makes it particularly suitable for families with small children, but those who prefer active recreation will not be bored either: you can play volleyball, soccer, and ping-pong on the sandy courts, and water bikes are also available for rent.

The 19,000 m² green area ensures a comfortable location and undisturbed relaxation. The beach is equipped with changing rooms, showers, toilets, bicycle parking, and a buffet. As a unique service, there is also a beach library where visitors can freely choose from the books on display.

Helikon Beach is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, by car, and by public transportation. The Keszthely train station and bus station are about a 15-minute walk away.
