Herbal Valley Visitor and Education Center
Introduction
The Medicinal Plant Valley Visitor and Education Center in Zánka is located at the gateway to the Kál Basin and offers a unique ecotourism experience. The center aims to bring visitors closer to the world of medicinal plants whether it be their medicinal properties, cultivation, or processing. The 7,000 m² show garden features more than 400 plant species, arranged thematically, with special areas such as the water garden, the relaxation lawn, and the garden for the blind.
Visitors can learn about medicinal plants in an interactive way: make their own products, take part in guided tours and lectures, or sample the tea selection. The center also serves as a practical training venue for vocational schools, universities, camps, and corporate team-building events.
There is also a water garden in the Herb Valley area.
Location & Accessibility
The center is located in the center of Zánka, at 3-7 Fő Street. It is easily accessible by car from Highway 71, and parking is available. The Zánka-Kőveskál railway station is approximately 1.7 km away and can be reached on foot or by bus. The Rákóczi út bus stop is only 200 meters away. The location is also easily accessible by bicycle, making it an ideal destination for tours in the Balaton Uplands.
