Horrorarium and Torture Museum
Introduction
The Horrorarium and Torture Museum is located in the center of Keszthely, in a nearly two-hundred-year-old mill building. The exhibition presents torture methods from the Middle Ages to modern times, from the Far East to America. Visitors can learn about the most exciting chapters of history—from the Iron Age to the Renaissance—with the help of wax figures and hunting tools reconstructed based on contemporary documents.to learn about the most important chapters of history, from the iron age to the gallows, from the sharp chair to the wheel.
The exhibition is unique in that is that famous historical figures such as Count Dracula and Elizabeth Báthory are presented through lifelike puppets. The dark room and the horror movie-like background music enhance the experience, which is only recommended for visitors with strong nerves.

The Horrorarium and Torture Museum is located at 2 Bakacs Street in Keszthely. The museum is located at the corner of Sétálóutca and Bakacs Street and is easily accessible on foot. For those arriving by car, parking is available in the surrounding streets. The train station and bus stop are about a 5-10 minute walk away.
