Introduction

The House of Stoves is located in Keszthely, in the immediate vicinity of the Festetics Castle. a unique exhibition space and pottery workshop that showcases Hungarian stove-making traditions. Visitors can learn about the history and operation of peasant stoves, ovens, and stoves used at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, as well as their operation and manufacturing techniques. The model exhibition presents more than 70 different types of heating appliances.

The stove tiles are made by hand in the workshop, and visitors can not only observe but also try their hand at tile making. In the ceramics experience room, you can browse among unique, handcrafted items, while the unique, intimate atmosphere of the place provides a special experience. As part of the "Kályhás Kedd" (Stove Tuesday) themed program, lectures, interactive presentations, and public creations await those interested.

Location & Accessibility

The House of Stoves is located at 3 Kastély Street in Keszthely. It is easily accessible by car and on foot, right next to Festetics Castle. Paid parking is available on site, and the city center is just a few minutes' walk away.
