Introduction

The Festetics Imre Experience Center is located in Gyenesdiás, at the foot of the Keszthely Mountains, and is based on the realistic presentation of nature, science, and traditional rural life. The center consists of three main units: the Nature House Visitor Center, the Game Farm and the Village Yard. Visitors can learn about the wildlife of the area through interactive exhibitions, while VR technology gives them a glimpse into the world of old crafts.

In the outdoor areas, you can encounter native Hungarian domestic animals and wild species, such as buffalo, donkeys, mangalica pigs, fallow deer, and mouflons. Children can enjoy a petting zoo, a playground, and an augmented reality (AR) application that introduces the animals in a playful way. The center is named after Imre Festetics, who became known as one of the pioneers of genetics.

Hungarian wild donkey can also be seen at the Experience Center
