Introduction
Karolina Café & Cocktail Bar is not just a place where they brew coffee and mix cocktails — it's a feeling, a memory, a slice of the past that has been reimagined in the present.
Located at 4 Zákonyi Ferenc Street, right next to Tagore Promenade, was dreamed up by the Schindele brothers and dedicated to the memory of Karolina, their beloved grandmother. Every corner of the place reflects this love and care: the fragrance of homemade cakes, the aroma of freshly ground coffee, the special flavor of tea mixed with flower petals—all evoking memories of a warm summer afternoon long ago.
When we conceived Karolina Café, we never had any doubts that we would name it after our beloved grandmother. This was our way of commemorating all the wonderful things she gave us throughout her life.
Karolina Café & Bar is open all year round, and during the summer season, they often welcome guests with live music, themed programs, and special offers.
Karolina's offerings are both traditional and innovative. The homemade dishes are prepared according to Granny Karolina's recipes, but the creative team always surprises guests with new variations. Coffee is roasted on site, guaranteeing freshness and character. Teas are blended in-house and enriched with fruits and flowers. The cocktail bar offers classic drinks as well as exciting seasonal specials, such as summer lavender gin and tonic or winter mulled wine.
Location & Accessibility
Karolina Café is located in the center of Balatonfüred, a few steps from Lake Balaton and the boat dock. Zákonyi Ferenc Street is easily accessible on foot, by bike or by car. There are several pay parking lots in the vicinity, such as the Kisfaludy beach parking lot or the parking lot next to Tagore Promenade, so those arriving by car can also park conveniently.
The café has a barrier-free entrance, making it easily accessible for guests with reduced mobility, those arriving with strollers or for seniors. The interior is spacious and the staff are always helpful and attentive, so all guests can feel at home.
