Kisfaludy Gallery
Introduction
Kisfaludy Gallery is one of the oldest and most prestigious exhibition venues in Balatonfüred, playing a decisive role in the cultural life of the town. The history of the building dates back to the 1830s, when it operated as a restaurant, and then over time also served as a theater and community center. In its current form, the gallery has been home to contemporary art exhibitions since 2004, primarily showcasing the work of local and regional artists. The themes of the exhibitions are varied: paintings, graphics, sculptures, and photographic works are all given a place on the gallery walls. The aim of Kisfaludy Gallery is to provide a space for the visual arts and to give the public an opportunity to meet and engage in dialogue with artists. In addition to exhibitions, cultural events, openings, and guided tours also enrich the program.
