Introduction

Kultkikötő Amphitheater, or AMFI for short, is one of Alsóörs's most unique cultural venues. It has been carved into the red rock face of Csere Hill in a former quarry and has been given a new lease of life. Following its restoration, the visitor center opened in 2021, and has since been expanded to include Hungary's largest planetarium, a community building, a bar, a playground and a 450-seat semi-circular auditorium.

The amphitheater's special atmosphere, with its red stone stands and dense forest surroundings reminiscent of ancient theatres, provides an ideal venue for theatrical performances, concerts, children's programmes and community events. Kultkikötő's mission is to provide high-quality cultural experiences for people of all ages in one of Lake Balaton's most beautiful natural environments.
