Laguna Yacht Club
Introduction
Laguna Yacht Club is located on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, in Balatonfűzfő, and is known as one of the greenest and quietest sailing clubs. With a history dating back several decades, the club not only serves as a marina, but also as a place to stay, an event venue, and a sports center. The special features of Fűzfő—strong winds from the Bakony Hills, a long coastline, and a peaceful environment— make it an ideal place for sailing, windsurfing, and relaxation.
The marina has 300 berths for boats and ships, with individually metered electricity supply. The accommodation can house 80 people, and the restaurant seats 60, with a covered and an open terrace. The club has its own beach area stretching over 1,000 meters. BS Fűzfő Sailing Association organizes sailing camps, courses, and competitions, while the Hungarian Windsurf Academy welcomes those who want to do sports with windsurf lessons and competitions. The venue is also suitable for weddings, birthday parties, and corporate events.
Location & Accessibility
Laguna Yacht Club is located in Balatonfűzfő, on the shore of Lake Balaton, and can be accessed from Szállás Street. It can be reached on foot from the town center and the train station in about 15 minutes. For those arriving by car, parking is available in the immediate vicinity of the marina. The area is well signposted and the main buildings and services are easy to find. The marina is partially barrier-free, and public spaces and accommodation are accessible with strollers and wheelchairs.
