Lavender House Visitor Center
Introduction
Lavender House Visitor Centre (Levendula Ház Látogatóközpont) is located in Tihany on the picturesque shores of Lake Balaton. The center aims to provide an exciting introduction to the volcanic landscape of the peninsula, its natural treasures and the cultural tradition of lavender cultivation. The interactive exhibition offers something for all ages to discover: visitors can learn how volcanoes work and how the landscape was formed, as well as exploring the local history and many uses of lavender.
The visitor center offers craft workshops, guided water tours, and themed programs for visitors. There is also a gift shop on site where you can buy high-quality lavender products, including essential oils, cosmetics, syrups, sweets, and home décor items. The café serves lavender drinks and pastries, making your visit not only informative but also a gastronomic experience.

Location & Accessibility
Levendula House is located in Tihany, on the shore of Lake Balaton. It is easily accessible on foot from the town centre. For those arriving by car, 90 minutes of free parking is available in the courtyard of the visitor centre. The nearest bus stop is only a 5-minute walk away for those arriving by public transport.
The visitor center can also be reached by bicycle thanks to its proximity to the Balaton bike path. The site is wheelchair accessible, making it convenient for visitors with strollers and those with limited mobility.
