Introduction

The Lovasi Nagy Gyula Gallery is located in the picturesque Balaton Uplands, in the center of the village of Lovas, halfway between Balatonfüred and Balatonalmádi. The gallery operates in the building of the town's former synagogue, which is an architectural gem in its own right with its classicist style. The gallery is named after Gyula Nagy, painter, was a defining figure of the mid-20th century. and the building hosts temporary exhibitions and a permanent exhibition.

The gallery also hosts contemporary art exhibitions, thematic exhibitions, open-air cinemas, and summer cultural events. The exhibition space includes a 600 m² garden, which is an ideal venue for outdoor programs.
