Modern Art Gallery
Introduction
The Modern Art Museum (MoMű) in Balatonfüred is a contemporary art gallery that houses an outstanding collection of international and Hungarian geometric art. The Szöllősi-Nagy-Nemes Collection returned to Hungary from Paris after more than thirty years and found a new home in Balatonfüred as part of the Veszprém-Balaton European Capital of Culture project. The museum aims to showcase the diversity of modern and contemporary visual arts, with a special focus on geometric trends. The exhibitions are curated and selected by the museum, so that visitors can always discover the pieces in the collection from a new perspective. MoMű is not only an exhibition space, but also a cultural meeting place, regularly organizing guided tours, art talks, and themed programs.
Location & Accessibility
Modern Art Museum is located in the center of Balatonfüred, at the end of Blaha Street, in a renovated building with a distinctive style. The location is easily accessible on foot from the main points of the town. For those arriving by car, paid parking is available in the vicinity. The Hajóállomás bus stop is located just a 3-minute walk from the exhibition.
The institution is wheelchair accessible, making it accessible to visitors with limited mobility.
