Örvényes Free Beach

Örvényes Free Beach is one of the largest and best-equipped free beaches on the northern shore of Lake Balaton. The beach welcomes those seeking relaxation with its open coastline, spacious green area, shade-providing plane trees, and modern infrastructure. Two long swimming platforms facilitate access to the water and are also suitable for sunbathing and playing games. Sunbathing terraces have been installed on the stone embankment in front of the beach, and there is also a panoramic cooling terrace at the top of the beach.

Services include water bike, kayak, boat and windsurfboard rental, a sandy soccer field, beach volleyball, a tennis court, a playground, outdoor and indoor showers, and accessible toilets. The beach's special features include a sauna (bookable in advance) and the "Első Helyünk Beach & Bistro," which is open during the summer season and serves fresh juices, hamburgers, pancakes, and Balaton hake. 

Örvényes Free Beach is located along Highway 71, in the resort area of the municipality of Örvényes. By car, it can be reached after turning off the main road and driving for about 1 km. Free parking is available in front of the beach. The train station is about a 10-12-minute walk away, and the bus stop is about a 15-minute walk away.

Due to its proximity to the Lake Balaton cycle path, it is easily accessible by bike, and there is a bike rack available on the beach.
