Pálköve
Introduction
Pálköve is one of the unique resorts in the Balaton Uplands, established at the end of the 1920s. It is located in a wooded area on the hills above Lake Balaton, Its distinctive features include an amphitheater-like abandoned quarry, a stone loading dock, and the untouched reeds surrounding the beach. The regular street layout and villas of the holiday resort have been shaped since the 1930s.
Location & Accessibility
The settlement is located along Route 71, between Balatonrendes and Révfülöp, but administratively it belongs to Kővágóörs. It is not directly served by public transport, but it can be reached by trains and buses connected to the Balatonrendes railway stop, which make the Pálköve beach accessible with an additional 20-minute walk.
