Rózsakő Wine Cellar Restaurant

The Rózsakő Wine Cellar Restaurant is one of Badacsony's best-known gastronomic and tourist destinations, located under the basalt organs on the side of the mountain. The restaurant, built in the peasant Baroque style, has been operating since 1997 and welcomes its guests with a wine cellar for 50 people and a panoramic garden for 150 people, surrounded by grapevines. The kitchen offers Hungarian, home-style dishes based on grandma's recipes, but you can also find fish dishes, salads, and vegetarian dishes. The restaurant also organizes special events: harvest festivals, St. Martin's Day goose dinners, wine tastings, and romantic dinners on the terrace overlooking Lake Balaton. The venue is family-friendly, dog-friendly, and has a playground and mountain taxi service.

It can be reached by car in about 5 minutes from the center of Badacsony, but it is also accessible on foot as part of a pleasant hike. The restaurant also offers its own mountain taxi service, which allows guests to comfortably reach the top of the hill. The train station and bus stop are about a 10-15 minute walk away. The site is open seasonally (May 1 to October 31), but this can be changed with advance notice.
