South Balaton Sailing School

South Balaton Sailing School in Balatonszemes offers practice-oriented courses for both beginners and advanced sailors. Participants can earn an international inland skipper’s license, which can be extended with a motorboat or sea navigation exam. In addition to training, the school also organizes tours, corporate workshops, and gastro events. Practical instruction takes place on Sudár Regatta sailboats, which are also available for rent after course completion.

The school is located in Hunyady József Marina. From Budapest, take the Balatonőszöd–Szólád (Exit 130) off the M7 motorway; from Keszthely, use the Balatonlelle–Balatonszemes (Exit 135). Then follow Main Route 7 and turn toward the lake at Fő Street. The marina is a 10-minute walk from the train station, and about 20–25 minutes on foot from the Balatonszemes bus stops along Main Route 7.
