Tape Recorder Museum
Introduction
The Tape Recorder Museum in Keszthely is Hungary's only exhibition space dedicated to sound recording technology in Hungary, showcasing more than a century of technical development. The collection presents the history of analog sound recording—from Edison's phonograph to tape recorders— through working devices. The exhibition is interactive: visitors can not only see but also hear the past, while learning personal stories about the people behind the machines. The museum is especially recommended for music lovers, those interested in technology, families, and nostalgia enthusiasts. Part of the exhibition is the legacy of private collector Vilmos Nagy, one of the world's largest working private collections. During the tour, experts will help visitors navigate the world of sound recording.
