Tihany MARKET square
Introduction
The Tihany Market Square is not just a farmers' market, but a real community meeting place where the scents and atmosphere of the Balaton Uplands come to life. The market has been operating since 2013 on the grassy, wooded area next to the Tihany pier, and has become one of the most popular weekend activities in the area. Every Saturday between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., local and regional vendors sell their wares: fresh vegetables, fruit, homemade cheeses, smoked sausages, apple strudel, kürtős kalács (chimney cake), artisan juices, jams, honeys, and spices.
The market is special for its rustic and artistic atmosphere, where jazz musicians, folk singers, craft workshops, and themed days—such as HelloTök or Bio Búcsú— add color to the offerings. The MARKET square is not just about shopping, but also about experiences, community, and the Balaton lifestyle.
The market also offers gastronomic experiences
