Introduction

Tihany Wax Museum is a unique, three-part exhibition space in the center of Tihany, which offers three themed exhibitions in a single building: the Hungarian Kings Wax Museum, the Caliphate Museum, and the Indian Museum. The aim of the exhibitions is to present Hungarian history, the world of sea pirates and the indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin all with the help of lifelike wax figures, period interiors, and interactive elements. In the Hungarian Kings' Wax Museum, you can see life-size wax figures of Hungarian rulers from Prince Géza to Charles IV, dressed in period clothing and wearing their coronation jewels. The Indian Museum displays the life and culture of the Shuar Indians with special objects and stories. The exhibition is air-conditioned, child-friendly, and ideal as a family outing.
