Várpalota Training Pool
Introduction
Built as part of the National Swimming Pool Programme, Várpalota Training Pool is one of the city's most important sports facilities. Its purpose is to provide swimming lessons and water exercises in a safe, modern environment for people of all ages.
While the facility is primarily designed for teaching the basics of swimming, it also hosts school physical education classes, training sessions and community sports programmes. Visitors can enjoy the swimming pool's modern water treatment system, barrier-free design and energy-efficient operation.
Key features
The facility has two pools available for children and guests:
- A 25 x 15 metre, six-lane swimming pool (1.9 metres deep) with a minimum water temperature of 25 °C unless otherwise specified by law or other regulatory instruments.
- The second is a 10 x 6 metre teaching pool (0.80 metres deep) with a minimum water temperature of 30 °C, unless otherwise specified by law or other public regulatory instruments.
Lockers and hairdryers are available for guests to use in the changing rooms.
Location & Accessibility
The pool is located in the central area of Várpalota, easily accessible by car and on foot. Several bus stops are nearby, making it convenient to reach by public transport.
The building is fully wheelchair accessible, including the entrance, changing rooms and pool area. Parking is available directly next to the facility.
