Introduction

The VasútARTjáró is a unique open-air exhibition space in Balatonalmádi, located in the basement of the town's railway station. The aim of the initiative, launched in 2013, is to bring the works of local artists and artists connected to Almádi directly in a space where art becomes part of everyday life.

The exhibition is renewed every six months, so there are always fresh paintings, graphics, watercolors, and digital photos are displayed on the walls of the underpass. The exhibition is thematically structured, often showcasing the well-known and hidden treasures of Balatonalmádi and its surroundings. The exhibited works can be purchased at the local Tourinform office, so visitors can take home not only an experience but also a souvenir.

Location & Accessibility

VasútARTjáró is located in the underpass of the Balatonalmádi railway station, close to Wesselényi Beach and the Handshake Europe Sculpture Park. For those arriving by car, free parking is available at the station. The location is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle, and by public transportation, so it is worth visiting as part of a trip to Lake Balaton. The exhibition is open to visitors all year round, and there is no admission fee.
