Veszprém Zoo
Introduction
The Veszprém Zoo, officially known as the Kittenberger Kálmán Botanical and Wildlife Park, is one of Hungary's oldest and largest zoos, welcoming visitors since 1958. Located just 15 km from Lake Balaton on the picturesque Gulya Hill, the park is open all year round and offers an enjoyable experience for all age groups. The zoo has more than 700 animals, including rare and endangered species such as Rothschild's giraffe, Siberian tigers, white rhinos, red pandas, flamingos, snowy owls, botswana, alpacas, and many more.
Visitors can wander through themed zones: African savannah, Dinosaur Park, Children's Jungle, Zoopedagogical Center, as well as animal petting and entertainment programs. The park also has gift shops, restaurants, cafes, and playgrounds. The ZOO camp and the zoo night enrich the experience with special events. The Veszprém Zoo is not only a tourist attraction, but also a nature conservation and educational center.
