Introduction

The heart of Balatonfüred beats at Vitorlás Square. This is where the famous Tagore Promenade begins, and where visitors are greeted by the statue of actor István Bujtor at the entrance to the passenger port. Just steps away, you’ll find the Vitorlázeum (Sailing Museum), the Open-Air Stage, and the lively Zákonyi Ferenc Street, which also hosts the stop for the sightseeing mini-train. In the background, the stunning view of the Tihany Peninsula completes the scene. On the other side of the rose arbor stand the statues of the Fisherman and the Ferryman, evoking the region’s rich maritime traditions.
