Introduction
Zsidó Kiválóságok Háza (House of Jewish Excellence) is one of Balatonfüred's most unique visitor centers, showcasing the world-renowned achievements of Jewish scientists, artists, and athletes through interactive digital exhibitions. The exhibitions—such as From Einstein to Today, From Chagall to Spielberg, and From Hajós to Kasparov—are not only informative but also offer a playful learning experience, making them enjoyable for all ages.
The center is a combination of a renovated synagogue and a modern wing, where an audio guide assists visitors, a café and buffet provide comfort, and a peaceful garden awaits guests. The aim is to present the contribution of Judaism to the development of the world in a dignified manner – not only by remembering the past, but also by recognizing the values of the present.
Location & Accessibility
The House of Jewish Excellence in Balatonfüred is located at 32 Bajcsy-Zsilinszky Endre Street, easily accessible from the city center. Visitors arriving by car can park for free on site, and bicycle storage is also available. Take the local bus to the Kossuth tér stop, from where the museum is about a 3-minute walk away.
